I am looking for free plans to build 4 adirondack chairs for my new fire pit. If anyone has plans or knows of where I can get some free plans please let me know.

I think there are some on the Lowe's or Home Depot web pages.
Otherwise, do a google search, but I am sure they were on their pages last year!

On www.gardensandcrafts.com there are free woodworking plans for a variety of things. The adirondack chair is one of them. Hope this helps.

I don't know where you live but in our Ace Memorial Day weekend flyer, they have wooden unfinished adirondack chairs for $30. I don't know if you can even make them for that much? I would love to have two but we'll see...another thing to add to my "wish" list!

AC Moore sells them. If you use their weekly 40% off coupons, I imagine they're very reasonable. Sorry I don't know the price, I have too many outdoor chairs and never paid much attention to them.

How do you like this?

A beautiful adirondack chairs made in Chinese craftsmanship.

I think this is lovely.

Veronica, the styling on the chair you posted is truly unique and lovely. Do you have the plans for it that you might share? And I'd really like to see a lighter picture of it. Especially like the back legs.

Couple of books your library might have:

Mine has this one (I've used the plans... they are easy, and it even tells you how to cut up the wood):
Building Adirondack Furniture: The Art, the History, and the How-To by John D. Wagner

another one (not as familiar):

Easy-To-Build Adirondack Furniture (Storey Country Wisdom Bulletin)

Good luck!

I am a huge fan of trying to put together furniture on my own as it gives me a great sense of satisfaction. Will search the net for some plans and get to work, did you manage to make the chairs in the end?
