| I bought this solid oak column this past weekend. I like it as is, but do y'all have any suggestions? That's three layers of paint, by the way, peeling...

| that is so cool....I would leave it unless you want it somewhere where the color would not work. Also, some of the flaking paint may be lead...I think you may have to wear a mask, use a wire brush on it and paint over it or seal it with poly. Check with your local city or county hazard waste office and see if they have a way to check some of the paint for you. |
