Concrete color ideas?

I'm really lucky in that my hubby makes me lots of nice concrete statuary. I have everything I could desire, by my problem is that it's all currently grey. With so much concrete, I really need to spice up the colors a bit.

I have two columns, each with a planter, in a garden that is my Tuscan themed garden. I've got an acid washed, golden toned St. Francis, the bark mulch is a reddish brown. I've planted lavender, rosemary, and a white honeysuckle. There are also currently reddish pink geraniums, as well as coral-y pink flowers in the planters.

I am stumped as to what to do with those columns and pots. I don't want to keep them grey, and if I acid stain them, they'd be the same goldy tones as St. Francis. Also they're standing in front of a cedar lattice fence.

What other colors or finishes could I do that would still evoke the Tuscan feel, but not be too brassy or clashy? I'm open to all kinds of ideas.

If you live in Seattle, hop over to Bainbridge Island and see the Little and Lewis garden gallery. Or check out their web page, Google "Little and Lewis". They do spectacular concrete work! With amazing color...

I've painted cement with success by making my own paint that really gives that two-tones tuscan effect. To one cup of linseed oil I add 1/8 cup of yellow ochre and 1/2 teaspoon of red ochre to get a terra-cotta color. I brush it on the cement in a criss-cross pattern. Not exactly sure where you get ochres in the U.S., maybe Home Depot, etc. sells them by the cement stains?
