| I'm really lucky in that my hubby makes me lots of nice concrete statuary. I have everything I could desire, by my problem is that it's all currently grey. With so much concrete, I really need to spice up the colors a bit.
I have two columns, each with a planter, in a garden that is my Tuscan themed garden. I've got an acid washed, golden toned St. Francis, the bark mulch is a reddish brown. I've planted lavender, rosemary, and a white honeysuckle. There are also currently reddish pink geraniums, as well as coral-y pink flowers in the planters.
I am stumped as to what to do with those columns and pots. I don't want to keep them grey, and if I acid stain them, they'd be the same goldy tones as St. Francis. Also they're standing in front of a cedar lattice fence.
What other colors or finishes could I do that would still evoke the Tuscan feel, but not be too brassy or clashy? I'm open to all kinds of ideas. |
