beginner's mosaic project

I've been asked to teach a simgle one night class in mosaics - pique assiette. I need a very simple project that can be finished in one sitting. Maybe a tile? My problem is that everything I have ever made I alway let dry overnight before grouting it. Is there some adhesive that I could use that drys fast enough so that they could grout it that evening?
If not I could bring one that is ready to grout & after we do their project I could just demostrate the grouting & they could finish it on their own later.
Anyway I need a small simple project I thought maybe a tile or a small picture frame. Any other ideas? |

| I don't mosaic but they have a whole mosaic forum. Click on "forums" at top of this forum & click on "Home forums" & you will see at the far right" Stained glass & mosaics forum" they can help you out. I like looking over there at all the great stuff they do. Some are teachers of it. Then I like to go to Garden Junk mostly & Crafts & Decorations but you can check out all the forums available by going up to top of the page after you click off of your post scroll to top & you will see it. This forum has very little activity, I think as a lot of it can be under something else. Good Luck!! Jan |
