how to hang a wall fountain - need advice

I need some advice about what kinds of bolts/hangers to use to hang a 75lb wall fountain on a stucco wall. The fountain has 3 sturdy hooks on the back, but no directions on what type of bolts or other devices to use on the wall. Any advice gratefully accepted. (you can tell we're not that handy.)

I'm not handy either but here is what I would do.

I would first go over to the "repairs" section of Gardenweb and post your question there. I got help repairing a storm door there a few weeks ago.

I would also go to a "quality" hardware store, a small type store where you can find someone to talk to. Tell them what you are trying to do.

It seems to me that trying to mount this type of thing with such weight to stucco could be an issue. (perhaps not, as I said I'm not handy either). I am in Maryland also,,,Silver Spring.

Good luck!

If you visited a store that carried a large selection of water fountains you could find the manufacture of the fountain you purchased and they should be able to give you advice on how to hang it properly. I have included a website with a very large selection of wall fountains

Here is a link that might be useful: Wall Fountains

I'd first find out what is behind the stucco. You're going to need to be sure you're securing that weight into something that can handle it...like a stud. You will need a masonary bit and drill a sizeable hole for a concrete anchor bolt. They work well, but you have to get it thru to where it's got bite.
