 o
Sealing Patio Furniture?

Posted by vestirse (My Page) on

My husband and I are purchasing a sectional made out of eucalyptus. It is stained a dark color - close to espresso. I would like to seal/treat it. What could I use?

I know and teak oil - would that be the best thing to use? It will sit on a concrete patio and I'm afraid even in sunny California where it never rains in the summer this will prove too moist for it.

Thank you so much for any advice!

RE: Sealing Patio Furniture?

Ok, my husband has just informed me that the piece is polyurethaned, so is there anything for me left to do? Would anything else help?

Cover it!

Also if you have access to a shed or indoor storage then that would certainly prolong it's life, but remember a little natural weathering of wooden furniture can be a bonus to some garden furniture.
