fairy stepping stones

OK come on you guys put on your thinking caps and help me out. My flower garden is fairy-themed. I saw some pretty cool coloring pages of fairies and I'd like to put them on stepping stones. I've made stepping stones before, so that isn't the problem. The problem is I don't know what to use to make the fairy pieces out of. I'd like to use cut glass, but that might be to detailed work. How about plastic, would that work. Give me your input girls.
You can see the pictures I'd like to use at www.coloring.ws/t/fantasy/fairies/9.htm
Thanks Halley

I don`t have any advice but I am getting things together to do a fairy garden, I clicked on the link and going to print the pic, it is great....could you tell me the site where you got that page from, were there other fairy pictures?

Thanks Brenda

How about cutting a circle of glass large enough to cover the entire stepping stone surface and using exterior paint to create the picture of the fairy? Embed it in the cement so the non-painted glass surface ends up on top.

Why not decopauge the picture to the finished stone, and then seal it?

You could use colored sand over the original picture using glue, then seal with a thick layer.
