Awhile ago there was some where at gardenweb a picture of a garden gal, named Charlene. There was a picture of Charlene alone and then there was a picture of her with another garden gal. I think her name was Hilde. I can't find the picture any where now. Can someone tell me where to find it
Thanks

I had a cute garden lady and her name was Gertie. I made her from a book.. My dear hubby was cleaning out the garage one day and threw her away. All I have left is her head. I plan to make another one. She is lifesize and adorable. Her one arm hangs down and she can hold gloves, watering can or any garden item. Her other arm is holding a long pole with a birdhouse on it. A heart hangs from her underarm saying Welcome Dearie. She is so cute.. I painted mine dark red with large white checks. I tied a cute homespun tie around her neck. I decorated a pair of work gloves. She has the cutest high heeled brown boots on that you use apolstery tacks and lace up jute shoe laces. I will try to find my book if you are interested in her..

Susie,

Gertie sounds interesting. Can you post a pic?

I don't recall Charlene, but you might try Garden Junk.

Soory, I don't have her anymore. My hubby tossed her while cleaning out the garage.. I will look and see if I can find the book.. She is ( or was ) darling. I was in a graden tour one year and made her. Everyone loved her...

Are these the ones you were thinking of?
I've had them for a few years now - just keep
touching up the faces and changing their clothes
when they get faded from the sun and rain.

(hope I know how to add the pic)
