| Hi everyone - I think I finally got the hang of Photobucket but there might be some repeat pics - so bare with me please - 'cause I'm going to keep trying until I get it right! Also, could someone explain to me how to post pics in the actual message without using links. Thanks!

| They look awesome! I love the leaf, I really need to try that. Do you use plan round stones and then paint them, or are they textured from the mold? Really, really nice! |

| Those are beautiful. Do you use patterns? where do you get your stain glass? Kassy |

| Ginamarina - it's inlaid stained glass - mortar & concrete are poured into the mold (the patterned glass is upside down in the mold)It's fun once you get the hang of it! Kassy - I use free stained glass patterns from the internet & books & I mix & match to get the design I want. There are lots of stained glass stores around here (Ontario) that supply glass. I took one class 6 yrs ago for stained glass panels. I wanted to try the garden stones when I saw a demo on TV - I made one for myself & the next thing you know I can't keep up sometimes with orders. Then I tried my hand at sand cast leaves - which I just love. I'm going to try sand carving next. Thank you both for the compliments! Gardenrose |

| These are great!!! I'm jealous. What kind of paint is that on the background? It looks pearly. On Photobucket, just copy the line that says Tag, and then paste it in the body of your post. Like this:
When you preview it, then the pic shows up. Then you can hit Submit. Donna |

| They are beautiful. Do you have to put the glass on contact paper or anything so they don't float up? I've not tried the glass, but the leaves I tried floated up... not sure what to do with them now! |

| I have my instructions for making garden stones in a safe place (????????) As soon as I find them I will share them with you. Gardenrose P.S. Ginamarina - yes I do use contact paper but you have to be careful because "Con-Tact" changed their product to "repositionable" or "acid free" which translates to "cheap" for crafters - it leaves a slimy residue on the stones. Try craft stores - they carry their own brand. Some dollar store paper is OK too. |

| You do some beautiful work. I see that you have tags on the items, are they just numbers or do you sell them? Looks like a lot of work goes into each one. Lovely. |

| I use clear iridescent stained glass for the dragonfly wings and those are price tags on some of the stones (I forgot to remove them when I took the pics which is why I don't take pics anymore when I'm tired) I sell my "stuff" at the local Farmers Market (mid June to mid Oct)& I just love it! | Silicon Folly is a website that has a 2 part Stepping Stone Manual with detailed instructions on how to make the INDIRECT or poured stones with glass on adhesive paper in the bottom. There's also a high-end concrete formula provided, that produces marble-smooth stones which resist any kind of climate. The instructions given in the first part are good for any kind of concrete mix. There are other Methods there including one for doing the DIRECT stones which are actually a mosaic pattern glued on a concrete paver stone and grouted. There is an active forum for stones (among the 4 forums there) and a large Gallery of pictures of Stones and Mosaics done by the members. All information is just that...information... and is free to all who want it. |

Dear gardenrose I love your stepping stone's but what caught my eye was the mushroom's what did ya use as molds for them I wanna make a few to add to my garden Please share your master skill's :-) Cheri |

| Linda - I use 1:1 portland cement/sand and I reinforce the leaf (if it's bigger than 12in) with wire or drywall tape. Then I just paint with watered down acryllic paints from craft stores & seal. Cheri - for the mushrooms I used a cereal bowl for the top & (don't laugh) toilet paper rolls for the stem. I apply vaseline to the bowl for easy release. The only problem with the stem is that the paper sticks (alot) so I'm looking for something better. Gardenrose P.S I don't throw out any leftover cement - I fill plastic cups to use as pedestals for leaves. |

| Cheri - Ooops! I forgot to mention that I use concrete for the mushrooms. Duh! Rosemary |

| How are you cutting your glass so perfectly? and what are you using to cut with? Kassy |

| I love the leaves!! Are there instructions anywhere on how to make the leaves? Are you using real leaves? Do you just press them into the cement mixture and then paint them when dry? Can they be used for stepping stones or are they just decorative? Thanx for sharing with us. They are all so beautiful and so far beyond my ability. Best Wishes, Barbara. |

| Kassy - I use a glass cutter & grinder (it took a lot of practice) but it was worth all the swearing while I was learning. Barbara - If you type in leaf casting in the FAQ you'll find lots of info plus a video - I use my own leaves & ones around the neighbourhood & I paint with acryllic paints or crafters paint & seal.
