Impruneta Terra Cotta

Has anyone ever bought any terra cotta pots from Impruneta, Italy? The mineral content of the clay makes them 100% frost proof. Seibert & Rice is a distributor, but the prices are high.

Does anyone know of other sources for Impruneta terra cotta? |

| Do you know which part of Italy it is in? Much of the ceramics come from the Deruta or Vicenza regions. I have never heard of the name 'Impruneta'. I would like to look it up since we will be there over Christmas and we and our friends are involved in Ceramic manufacturing. If you wish, I could look for web addresses or catalogs for you. Lina. |

| Impruneta is outside of Florence. If you go to the Seibert & Rice web page there is a nice (and short) video. |

| If you search with Google use the Italian spelling of "terrecotte" or "terre cotte" along with the word "Impruneta" and you will find the workshops. |
