Oil teak furniture

Hi all,
Just bought a beautiful teak table and chairs and fear I've wrecked them....

In haste, I tried to oil them using "nature oil" this product we used to use on our kitchen counter which was butcher block. It worked beautifully there.

However, have been reading since on the web about the dangers of oiling teak (albeit they are conflicting) and I seem to be worried that now I will get mildew because I have put an organic type oil on it.

Am I doomed? What can I do to fix this????

RE: Oil teak furniture

Hi,
In India where a lot of furniture is still made in teak wood, one of the finishing of this wood is with organic oil. Incase you are worried about mildew, just wipe your furniture every now and then with a soft cloth.
