Indoor Cement Work?

Posted by Bill_zone6 W. Pa (My Page) on

I am starting a small business using cement to make certain objects. They won't be large (7-8 lbs). Is there a way to do this in a basement without getting any fumes or other substances involved? The garage is cold in the winter, with only an outside door for access. Can I make these objects from cement in the basement in the winter? Is it safe?

Thanks!

Bill, I work in my basement all Winter, have for about 10 years, making Hypertufa(combination of Portland cement, sand and peat moss) items. No problems. I am a neatnik though. I create very little dust. By the way, nice name! Billie

Thanks this is encouraging! Yes, nice name, and being left-handed isn't bad either.:)
