| I just know this forum will have fun ideas on what to do with stumps. I have this concept of using them as coffee table by the firepit / support for flower pots / marking an area in the backyard ... and so on, but since they'll be outside I think I should seal them somehow.
What should I use? Wax, polyurethane...???
Thank you in advance, also any idea for innovative uses will be appreciated. |

| Use low ones for footrests, scatter some around the garden for seats. |

| I've got some ideas for stumps and also branches. Check out my blog. I've included some photographs of items made from branches and strumps. Examples includes hand rails and planters. |

Thanks clturner3, looked at your blog and loved your ideas. I feel like investing in polyurethane stocks, this is how much I used to get that thick, glossy look on a stump. |

| You might try a clear sealer first and then marine varnish. If boats last, a stump should. I have seen them as benches, chairs, pot holders, places for kids to climb and jump from...if you think it will work...it will. |
