Winterizing Concrete Statue

This summer I purchased an old solid concrete statue that was clearly part of a larger fountain. She stands about 4 feet tall. That she has had a rough life is obvious. There are some chips out of her shoulder, elbow, hair, robe. Any cracks are little more than hairline.

She is incredibly heavy, so taking her in for winter and out again every spring is out of the question. Do you think I should try to protect her, maybe wrapping her with plastic, or would I just hold moisture in that way. What precautions do any of you take?

There may be a term for the kind of casting she is, but I don't know it. It appears that a smooth wash coat was put over a concrete casting. That smooth coat is intact except where there are chips (and the few hairline cracks). Thank you for any suggestions you can offer. Carmellia

I bought something called concrete statuary sealer and protector from Home Depot I believe..I haven't used it yet to see how it works..maybe someone else has tried it.
