Sparkle Paint

I thought I saw where someone had used colored sparkle paint for light globes. I can't find the thread. Does anyone else remember seeing it? Or am I dreaming? I looked at WM for the paint. Nothing except gold and silver. Any suggestions as to where I might find it? Thanks

I've seen people swirl wet nailpolish inside of light globes and christmas ornaments. It turns out beautifully. Maybe that's what you saw? I think it was on Garden Junk a year or more ago.

I've bought it at Lowes. Can't recall the brand name, but it was in their specialty paint section.

Thanks Fuzzy & Pesky I may try the nail polish if I can't find the paint. We have a new Lowe's close by that just opened up recently so will check there. Thanks again.

Millie-You might check in the paints for model cars.Wal- Mart has those,I think in the toy dept with the model car kits.

If you want sparkle, here is what i do.Get some white glue, make sure it's the kind that dries clear.Get a paper cup, pour some glue in it and water.About 1/2 and 1/2,swirl this around in your globe and drain off excess. While it's still wet in the globe pour in some ultra fine glitter, swirl it around and again shake off excess.Let dry. When it's dry, you'll have a beautiful sparkly globe. I do this with the clear glass xmas ornaments, and have sold lots of them.Give it a try. kathi |

Jo Anne Fabrics and Crafts has some great sparkle paint -- it comes in a few colors, but also in a clear sparkle overglaze, so you can use it over any color of paint. I think it's in the section with the "Christmas Village" paint. Pat
