I was vacationing in texas, and being a gardener, stopped at the corpus christi botanical gardens. I saw this amazing creation there, and took pics just for you folks! I wish I had had more time, I would have loved to get the story on this, it was just stuck in the middle of nowhere in the garden. Sue

Great photos! Did you get to actually sit on it? I would love to know how comfortable this type of bench is. I keep thinking these could be pretty comfortable if the design was right but I don't know what that means exactly.

That is quite beautiful. So much work went into it! I'd imagine it's as comfortable as any stone bench would be...when you need to get off your feet, anything will do! haha.

I'm hoping to make a stone 'throne' in my back yard one day. I saw an inspiration in a book and it's been eating away at me. This photo just pushed it up a line or two on my mental to-do list.
