flamingoes

I just love this site. I learn so much from people here and appreciate it so much. It never occurred to me to make stepping stones from jello molds or how to keep my gazing balls from blowing away and breaking. Thank you!!

My question is does anyone know where I can buy pink pastic flamingoes for my yard? I don't want ones with all the same pose so it will look natural...like I really have all those flamingoes living in my yard!!

my yard is small but I think the flamingoes would look so wonderful grazing in the yard. I'd like to get maybe a couple dozen depending on the price. I checked Ebay but only found used flamingoes.

Thanks...I just love this forum section. I've leaarned soooo much!

RE: flamingoes

They have just recently closed down the factory where they make the flamingos. I think they are looking for a buyer of the factory/molds/whatever, so maybe we will see more new flamingos in the future.

If you want 'different' looking flamingos, you will probably have to make your own.

I have seen great flamingos made from plywood, wire, fabric, and gourds. The gourd flamingos are really adorable, and easy to make.

Google it. See what you can come up with, then bring us pics when you have it done!

Janie...
I will. Such a good idea! I will post pictures as soon as I get them. The gourd idea is so original. I guess that regular pink paint would work unless someone knows of something else that's better.

I also like the idea of having the molds as long as they're in different poses. They'd be soooooooo cute!
I'll be the envy of the nieghborhood.
thanks, Janie

My local Wal-Mart carries them. We were north a while back and I also found some at ShopKo (I think that is the name). If you google plastic famingos you can probably find lots of other places.
