| I have some moonflower plants that I would like to train to grow up my watertowers. The existing bed has pretty poor soil...alot of clay. My question is whether I should plant them directly into the bed or should I plant in containers and set the containers in the bed, hidden by the other plants and shrubs. I know moonflowers don't like transplanting, so I want to get it right the first time. Any advice? Also, any suggestions about what to use to help train the plant up the towers? This isn't my backyard...it's a mini golf course, so I have to be a little more picky about the way things look. |

| I always germinate mine in a damp paper towel in a zip lock bag for two days. After they have sprouted, throw them on the ground and toss some humus or organic top soil on them. That's all they will need and they will take off for ya! I think it will look fabulous there!! |
