These tiny little darlings are my first attempt at starting from seed outside... no BIG deal except I'm pretty sure the bed I planted them is sorely lacking in proper nutrients.....

They are still adorable...

They're beautiful!

Getting things to grow for the first time is an amazing experience. I think mine was some compact cucumbers in a pot in my first apartment.

Cosmos are blessedly easy. One of the most easy/fun/pretty annuals. A must for every beginning gardener/seed sower. :)

RE: Amazing Cosmos

this is my first year with cosmos. i noticed a small plant growing in my garden and it just grew and grew (must of been that fertilizer i fed my cape honeysuckle every day for four weeks strait!)it seems the cosmo plant sucked up all the nutrients and has grown into a monsterous size plant (about five feet tall, six feet wide and really really bushy!)it has just begun blooming and the blooms are bright pink at first and they fade into a nce lavendar by the fourth or fifth day. just one question: do all cosmos have the capability of growing this big? or is it a certain variety that just popped up in my garden?
