Can anyone identify this type of Dahlia?

Hi Y'all,

This is my first year growing Dahlias. I recently bought 2, at a local store, and they seem to be thriving. However, I don't know what kind of Dahlia it is. I would also like to know which is the best type of method to propagate it?
I also noticed that, even though they are growing fast, there is some sort of bug nibbling the leaves during the night. I have inspected them thoroughly and i cant find any insect there, during the day. What can I do?
