| Hello!
Two questions:I bought Zinnias in the Spring that turned into 12"x 14" bushes that bore huge(about 3-4" diam.)brilliant, continual blooming flowers. They had no name on them.I want to get them again next year and need their type.I don't want any other types. I also bought a brilliant yellow-bloomed hanging plant that looks exactly like lantana, only when you dead-head it there is a strong, lovely lemon scent on your fingers.I suspect it is lantana or a close relative.Like the zinnias there was no name on the basket!(Annoying!!)Please help if you can! Thanks so much every one! | If your zinnias have seed heads save some of the seed. They are very easily grown from seed. EP |

| I think your 'mystery plant' probably is a lantana. I've just been out trimming ours and noticed the 'lovely lemon' scent you describe. A lantana is a tender perennial. They are sold in containers but ours has overwintered outside in the ground for several winters and grows larger each year. It dies down to the ground and disappears during the winter but sometimes it will be up and blooming in late spring or early summer before I realize it is there. Our zinnias self sow but I save a few seeds in event they are needed. EP |
