Hello. I've sowed seeds for Zinnia FW mix from suttons. It says they'll grow to a height of 65cm! Wanted to know if anybody has experience/pictures for this variety? Does it get huge? I wanted to grow them in containers, lilliputs do really well but how big a container would I need for this plant? Thanks!

Depends on what you consider huge, I suppose, and how big your pots are. Zinnias given room and space will get quite bushy, but they can also hold each other up and get tall and lanky if you cram them together. In my opinion, they look very nice when there's three or four of them in a three or four gallon pot, and will tolerate a lot of neglect and grow quite nicely. You can certainly do smaller containers, but they'll get top heavy and need to be watered a lot, and may not look quite right. In the breeding zinnias thread, zenman mentions his outgrowing their 3 inch square pots (which aren't much more than seedling starting pots) eventually, but I got them impression he had them in there a while. I have some growing very happily two liter soda bottles that I cut the top off and inverted inside. The root balls of those fit easily in gallon pots when transplanted. They are substantial plants and will flip over if they get dry. This zinnia comes from a similar sized seed stock growing out of about a liter of soil: It's not huge, but it's very happily bushed out and fills some space. It's great by itself as a statement, but if you grew it with other things in a mixed pot, you wouldn't get nearly so many side buds, but you can get variety.

Thanks for the input, and the colour is so rich- which is what I love best about zinnias. I've grown the Magellan, and Lilliputs, but have no idea about this really tall variety. I mean to me, 70cm height is pretty tall, so don't really know how well they'd do in a container.. Container sizes will be about 1 gal to 2 gal. Thanks, Hamza
