I want Sweet Pea success!

Hey all..

Pat from the Jersey Shore here.

I've always wanted sweetpeas.. but, in this quick-to-be-humid-weather here, I'm not usually successful. This year, I planted seeds, and they grew well. They are now in the outside greenhouse hardening off.

When can I put the seedlings out in the garden? I know sweetpeas can take a lot of cool. And even a tidbit of frost, but, I'm not sure. I want that divine smell. Help and your experience here in the northeast would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

they need some good time to harden off ..

but why risk it all in one planting frenzy ...

in two weeks.. start planting 1/5 of them.. for 5 weeks ... last planting .. late april ...

worse case scenario... you got the last fifth ...
