| I am wanting to grow sunflowers for a fun competition. I have grown sunflowers in the past, but never paid attention to what I was growing. Just bought a packet of seeds and grew them! What is the difference between "ornamental sunflowers" and "decorative sunflowers"? They also have the categories of "large over 12", "medium 6" - 12", and "small 0 - 6".
Do you have specific names of sunflower seeds I should look for that fall into these categories? I have grown Giant Grey Stripe and Mammoth's before. Thanks! |

| Ornamental or decorative are just terms for different hybrid sunflowers. I don't think any one is better than the others. It all depends on what you are looking for. It may be that they are unusual colors or doubles or dwarf. |
