 o
Californian poppy (just a summer pic against the horrible cold)

hi there
while browsing through last season`s pictures, I came across this one. I had tried several times to take a picture of my son with those poppies in the back ground with this orange onesie.
Finally I managed, but as it was late afternoon, the flowers closed already.

Still a great memory of warmth and sunshine.
(and I know that hey are somewhat toxic, but I kept an close eye on him, told him not to eat it, we never had problems)
Now they are just sprouting new foliage after the winter, and I am so looking forward to them flowering.
well, cant wait for spring to arrive,
good gardening start to you all, bye, Lin

The days of wine and roses laugh and run away like a child at play
Through a meadow land toward a closing door
A door marked "nevermore" that wasn't there before

The lonely night discloses just a passing breeze filled with memories
Of the golden smile that introduced me to
The days of wine and roses and you

(The lonely night discloses) Just a passing breeze filled with memories
Of the golden smile that introduced me to
The days of wine and roses and you-oo-oo.

Beautiful, Ken. Lin, I bet that onsie doesn't fit anymore, does it? What a cutie. Every year is better than the last as they grow into their own little personality and uniqueness. Enjoy it as much as you can.

thanks for the great lyrics, Ken,
it`s just that I could sometimes forget how precious those two are, you know, rather pondering: how-best-to-auction-them-off-kind-of, if it is one of those days. Otherwise they are great.
And Martha, a pic from today, no, that onsie doens`fit any more...

had the first warm day of spring today and tidied the garden a little bit, with great helpers.
Thanks for your nice comments, have a good Monday, bye, Lin
