| Hi all, I'm sorry, I googled the heck out of this and can't find the answer. I have not grown thunbergia before. I would like to have some in a hanging basket and have some twine up the pole from which the basket is hung. Most pictures and descriptions I have seen of thunbergia involve climbing a tripod or a trellis. Will thunbergia climb a single thin pole? Thanks! |

| Yes it will if you help it along. When the vine gets long enough wrap it around the pole and secure with a tie. Then it will continue to climb I suggest Velcro plant ties. These come on a roll and you just cut off what you need. It is green and blends into the foliage. you put the fuzzy side towards the plant and then just stick it together. It is soft against the plant stems and is also reusable. I've had some I've used for more than 4 years for tying up many things. I collect them in the fall and put them into a plastic container. |
