I purchased a Cardinal Vine and a Moonflower vine last week but have been waiting to plant it. I checked everything this afternoon and found them to be quite wilted. We had quite a bit of rain yesterday and the dirt is quite soggy...will they come out of this okay once they dry out a bit. I have brought them inside hoping it will help them dry out quicker. Any other suggestions or did I just not think ahead and bring them in out of the rain early enough and have lost them?

They are probably waterlogged and will be a prime candidate for root rot if you don't get them dried out. Put them in the warmest place you have and turn a fan on them pointed at the soil. Wait until they have completely dried out before you water again

wow... i think you are on the edge of killing them with too much love.. including what the responder said.. if they are still potted.. put them in the garage.. i would not bring them in the house.. and i never heard of professionally grown stock wilting due to rain .. short of a hurricane or severe thunderstorms ... ken

Thank you both for the response...Soon after posting my question I brought them inside. We had quite a bit of heavy rain yesterday and the temps are barely reaching 50 today. We also have a frost warning out tonight so it could be wet or cold causing the ill effects? Anyway, after a couple hours they perked back up. Now if they just stay healthy until May 15th so I can get them in the ground.
