color advice please!!

Hi all,

I made a sizable petunia bed with about 50-60 plants. They are in two colors: pastel pink and pastel violet.

I loved them until....my red knockout roses bloomed. Red roses and those pastel-colored petunias just don't go well with each other. I wish I had pink knockout roses. Or I wish I planted more distinct colored petunia, like white and red.

I can obviously just wait till next year and plant some other annuals, but what would be a quick fix here if I don't want to be reminded of my lack of color sense for the rest of the year?

I have some room (boxwood area) between the petunia bed and knockout rose bushes. Should I plant something yellow? White? Blue? Purple? What kinds of annuals?

The lower portion of this hanging basket looks the same as my petunia bed, color-palette-wise.

Here is a link that might be useful: Pic came from this link
