| Just planted my sweet potato vine last week. It's looks like it's dying! What do you suppose the problem is?? |

| transplant shock .. cold damage ... lack of hardening off to sunshine ... or something else ... the key is: planted last week ... no time for bugs or disease.. to even be in the equation ... feeding it will not help ... i cant see the growth tips.. if those are acclimated.. and growing.. you are all set ... in a week or two.. just nip off the ugly leaves ... for right now.. even ugly.. they are working ken |

| I see the growing tips Ken alludes to. They look fine. It would be my guess that the plant was not hardened off before it was put outside (thus sun scorch). My second guess would be that the soil might still be too cold for the vine to be happy? (If the nights are still below mid fifties, try covering the plant with a light fabric.) Keep it watered and chances are very good it will be fine in a couple weeks, as Ken said. When you see it putting on new growth, then cut off the disfigured leaves. |
