| I was at the local botanical garden yesterday. Came across a pretty flower and found out it was Cleome/Spider flower -- a variety that is sterile. I had purchased some generic Cleome seeds but didn't sow them because I had read they can self-sow prolifically. Has anybody tried this new offering from Proven Winners? |

| I had these last year because deer do not like them. I had Senorita Rosalita. I was disappointed that it did not reseed for me. It is very pretty. |
|
| Read a lot about Rosalita but have not tried them yet. Planted Queen and second generation seeds from the F1 spineless Sparkler. Sparkler has reproduced without spines. It is blooming now. Queen is growing well but is not at the bloom stage. I go for reseeding plants so have not sought Rosalita. Yet if the plant is reproduced from cuttings I guess they can be reproduced from cuttings of your plant for your personal use. |
|
| Not knowing that Rosalita was sterile I collected seed from my neighbor's potted plant last fall. I had several germinate and am wondering if they will be short or revert back to the taller ones. Will let you know when they bloom. |
|
| Looking forward to the results. |

| FYI, cleome do re-seed, but if you keep your beds mulched, they will not be a nuisance. |

| From the info in this discussion it seems these seeds may need to chill to sprout well. Nothing from this years' purchased/scattered seeds, again. Will refrigerate first next year and see if that makes a difference. |

| Had one last year, plant died and no seeds came up either. I have had one live over in the past. |

| Had to come back for another look at that pic. Love the combo of colors! |
