Great idea to dunk the bag

I do like using bags filled with annuals (usually begonias for us).

But I dreaded watering them...until this year.

I now immerse each bag in a small as possible pail of water. That way all the plants (particularly the bottom half) get the required amount of water. It takes much less time and leads to less overall watering than just pouring to the top.

I am sure others do similarly.

A green heavy duty plastic bag. I dont do it myself but rather purchase it already planted and ready to hang. Until this year I would water it from the top but of course it would take forever for the water to make it to the bottom. But immersing it in a pail of water helps greatly.
