What is this flower???

It grew along side my carpet rose. I almost yanked it out. Thought it was a weed (might be) but it was so sturdy and foliage was "robust." Not the greatest pic, but hope you can help.

It looks like Solanum carolinense, Carolina horsenettle, or one of the other weedy Solanums. It can be difficult to get rid of, if you let it get a toe-hold.

Why the poison? Just dig it up.

Truly....save yourself a step and just dig or pull it up. You'll end up doing that anyway, once it turns brown.

Cuz its either really hot or raining buckets. But now that I've been properly dressed down, I'll go grab the shovel cuz there is no pulling it out. That's what I meant by "robust."
