Bunny Buffet

I was excited about my gardening this year as it is the first summer in this house. I already had my ideas in January. In trying to discourage the deer, I have encouraged the bunnies. I had lots of rabbits playing in my previous yard, and they never ate any of my plants. I have only seen one here. I planted snapdragons-gone. I planted vinca periwinkle-shredded. Yesterday I went to the nursery and bought coneflower. I left them in the pots sitting on the patio as it was too hot for me to be outside to plant. This morning both pots were turned over, and one had zero flowers and no buds. The other was not touched. Guess the bunny got full. I think I am fighting a losing battle. The deer ate my roses and million bells, the chipmunk dug holes all over my yard, and my bark mulch has ugly fungus growing on it. It is sorta funny, really. I think I live in a nature preserve. I love it.

RE: Bunny Buffet

I think having my garden close to the road might have its advantages. So far, I've only had minor deer or rabbit nibbling. Hope buy luck holds.
