| I'm looking for a cockscomb like the one in the picture below. It is about 36-48 inches tall and it has big flowers. I have been looking online for some and all I can find are the small types.
Please help! These flowers are very important in my culture and mean a lot to my family. |

| Hazzard's has a wide variety of Celosia, including the crested type that you showed. You will have to scroll downward on that page to see them all. ZM |

| I saw seeds for some like that on ebay yesterday. Go there and look for celosia. |
|
| Look for 'crested celosia '...the mix named "Chief " is a taller variety. Your picture looks just like "Chief " rose. Some seed houses carry them in large sized packages. This isn't a good time of year to buy seeds, but you can sure shop around. |

| Thanks for the help guys! In Mexico we call cockscomb. "mano de leon", which means lion's paw. The cockscomb and the marigold are the flowers used to decorate graves and the table with food that is offered to the ancestors during Dia de los Muertos. Here are some pictures |

| Thanks for the interesting history lesson! I was going to ask you in which culture is it used, and how? |
|
| Your welcome! The cockscomb is very important during the day of the dead celebration in Mexico. It is a flower you wouldn't give your wife or girlfriend because of its relationship with the dead. |
