| Hello everybody . I'm new here and a beginner too , so lots of doubts :). I'm from Cape Verde Islands an archipelago West of Africa.
I just sowed 3 seeds of sunflower evening sun , they germinated in just 3 days , in the same hole. Now they all are beautiful seedlings and i would like to keep them all 3 without doing any thinning. I'm going to post a photo , so you can tell me how do i do it, without harming them , and how long should i wait until the moment of transplanting. Thank you

| Shortly after watering, use a spoon or fork to scoop all three seedlings up together. Gently separate them and insert each into their own small container....predrill the holes with a pencil and use a misting of water to settle them in rather than your fingers to smush them. You could also accomplish the same task if the seeds are directly planted in the ground. The sooner you transplant, the better. Be sure to transplant them into their 'forever ' home if planting them directly into the ground.

| i would do it after the first true leaf.. and i would do it on a rainy or cloudy day ... or early in the evening .. watering deeply beforehand ... and i would SHADE THEM FOR A FEW DAYS.. after the transplant ... just to allow the roots a few days to start pumping water .... and next time.. i would start them in a cell pack.. or individual small cups ... so as to ease transplant later.. here is a truism for gardening.. FEAR YOUR SUCCESS.. lol .. ken |

| Thanks for your help , they are looking healthy in their new home. Ill be posting photos when i can. Definitely next time im going to sow a single seed per hole. |

| Here they are! This one in the picture is starting to bloom after just 50 days. The seed package says average 70 days. If someone here as more experience with evening suns , please share , how many days is average from germination to bloom. The other 2 are still late compared . Nice to see each plant is really unique. |
