Your sunflowers are fabulous! I've always wanted to grow some tall sunflowers and have Morning Glories growing up the stalks. Yours looks great. Nice work. Martha

Thank you very much. :)

You're definitely a Sunflower pro. Nice job! How did you select your seeds? Bob

Bugbite, not sure exactly what you mean. But, I just grabbed whatever they had at Home Depot, since the chipmunks thought the ones I previously had were snacks. Ninecrow, No, the morning glories are going up the now headless 8 ft sunflower.

tardevyll, There are so many great sunflowers starting at 6 inches and going up from there. Since you are so good at raising them, you might want to check out the list in the catalog I linked below. I studied their list over and over. The sunflowers are listed under "Helianthus annus". Even though there are no pictures you can search for a picture on the internet, if one sounds interesting. Or you could just stay with what you are doing since you have great results. Bob PS. I read in an old garden book that sunflower seeds should be soaked for 3 hours before planting.
Here is a link that might be useful: Helianthus

Sorry. I know that this is a big pricelist. The sunflowers are on their pages 48, 49, and 50. There are 75 different varieties. I always to try new things, so often buy the seeds that have the "new symbol" next to the name. (See the bottom of the page to see what that symbol looks like.) That is adventurous but not always smart since the classics often are most dependable. If I am stuck, I ask Dora at Geoseed to give me guidance if she can. On the other hand, it is easier to stick with what you know and you did extremely well with the seeds you planted. Bob
