Marigold Blooms

I planted two types of Marigold French in July/August and they have been blooming for a good maybe month. Had no idea there blooms lasted so long. I love the color and size of these plants so I will plant them again next year. Just wanted to share these pictures I took today. I planted them right next to the lemon tree that by grandparents planted several years ago.

Even though I don't plant marigolds, I love how cheery they are. Yours are very pretty!

Wish I could grow marigolds, but here they attract European earwigs! Very attractive flowers that come in so many varities.

Thank you everyone. I was actually surprised at how tough they are. I grew them in a grouping in a separate part of the garden and then when they got to a few inches I dug them out and carefully separated the roots. They were limp for a few days but then grew like crazy. Also one of them was damaged by one of the dogs where the top part of the plant was attached the the main stem by very little but it re-attached it self.

I will be planting them again next year. Could they last through the winter. I live in San Mateo, CA.
