Overwintering Gerber Daisy

Good morning all. Last year I received excellent advice from the folks here. In October 2004 my great neice and nephew gave me a lovely potted Gerber daisy which I successfully overwintered by keeping it on my kitchen window. In the Spring I put it out into the garden..I didn't have too much hope but it came back like gangbusters and gave me bloom after bloom.

It has grown into a huge plant. The cold air is rapidly approaching...I'd like to dig it up, repot it and keep it in the house over the winter.

Are these just pipe dreams or do you think it can be done? My need to keep the plant is more sentimental than anything else...but if I need a good 'reality check' please do so.

Ciao,
