Donna, I had them bloom for me through the winter when I lived zone 8b. ( Wouldn't even think about it here.) I honestly don't remember what variety...I usually ordered them by the hundreds of flats, so probably pretty ordinary stuff. Pansies were the only things that I contracted for special colors and varieties.

They bloom indoors if you treat them right - no reason they won't follow suit outdoors if it's warm enough for them to grow.

Ok. Thanks all. I have reached the conclusion that although we have "mild" winters here, it is not mild enough for winter long bloom. I planted them anyway. They are lovely in late spring.
