| Does anyone know where to get a good selection of NG seed?
The seed company I buy from only has a few selections and I wanted to broaden my horizons! Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, |

| Tom - you won't find a good selection of NG Impatien seeds because they don't exist. 99% of New Guineas are propagated from cuttings. The only decent selection from seed is the Divine Series, bred by Pan American Seed. I honestly don't know what retail sources carry it. |

| Yah, I'm actually aware of that, and I don't want anything too too crazy... leaf varigation and what not... Looks like Vessey Seeds carries mixed, pink, red and white I ordered from Hazzard seed last year and they have an okay Does anyone else have any thoughts? |

| Try Stokes Seeds. |

| Stokes isn't carrying the NG anymore. |

| Ooop, yep, you're right! I looked in the Stokes catalog last night and they don't have the NG seeds anymore. I know they used to carry them. Wonder what's up with that. |

| tom8olvr, Hazzard has Java Mixed which might give you some variety. Thompson & Morgan also carry Java Mixed. I notice that Parks refers to Tango Hybrid as New Guinea. My one experience with New Guinea Impatiens (in hanging baskets) ended in a mass die-off from some unknown problem -- possibly a disease or overwatering. ZM |

| tom8olvr, Great pictures! They inspire me to try again with New Guinea Impatiens. The specimen in the fourth picture looks like it would be worthy of propagation by cuttings. You certainly got some good variation from your seed grown plants, and I think that is a good thing. I think that cuttings-propagated plants are always going to be more uniform than seed-propagated plants. But I personally like some variation, because I think it adds interest. ZM |
