 o
hanging plant question

So I got this plant a while back and was told it is super easy to care for. However, mine looks sickly and keeps loosing leaves. Many of which look burned. The stems turn yellow and become easy to break off the main plant.

I trimmed it to try and encourage new growth but that didnt help. FYI: I get east facing sun.

Any ideas what may be wrong?

here is a photo of plant when I first got it:

Here is what it looks like now:

ANY HELP YOU CAN OFFER IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

RE: hanging plant question

This is golden pothos, a variant of Epipremnum aureum.
The plant is very easy to grow. I think the reason for brown leaves is direct sun, its not very tolerant, esp if its dry heat. Try to put in shade/indirect light, even indoors is ok. It grows very well in high humidity. It need good watering and is very forgiving to standing water as well. Frequent misting is taken well.
One of the very hardy plants and easy to maintain. Use common garden fertilizer once a month perhaps.

RE: hanging plant question

This is normally grown as a house plant. Is it warm enough on your balcony for it?
