Hose faucet adapter

| Has anyone tried this type of adapter to connect a hose to a bathroom sink? The regular cheap hardward store kind won't work on our bathroom faucet. :(

I've never tried running the hose from the bathroom (the kitchen is closer) but I expect that is a pain... Did you check to see if there was an aerator screwed onto the bathroom faucet (I expect you might have)? One possibility that you might try is getting one of those screw-on filtration units made for bathrooms (I searched around and saw Brita has one described here). Those usually come with a variety of adapters and if you got the one for bathrooms, it might have the correct ones (or combination) that would eventually allow you to move up to the adapter that will take a hose.

You can get them pretty cheap at Wal-Mart, K-Mart etc. Just ask for the waterbed hose adaptors. Most of them will work with either type of indoor faucet to adapt them over to a water hose. Cindi

Cindi - here in the U.S., most of the cheap adapter kits aren't made to fit the smaller diameter bathroom sink fixtures. They generally only fit the larger ("standard") kitchen or stationary tub, etc., faucets.

I use a faucet adaptor that fits both the kitchen and bathroom sink, standard apartment fixtures. You just to unscrew the aerator filter from them first. I can't remember where I found it online, but it came with a 40ft coiled hose and a watering wand etc all in one package and works well.
