Vine suggestions for balcony lattice screen?

Hello all! I am new to these forums and would appreciate any info: I have a 4x10 ft balcony outside my apartment and I'm attaching a piece of khaki-colored plastic lattice for some privacy. I then want to train a quick-growing vine or clematis up into the lattice: I get morning full-sun and it lasts about 4 hours so I do have afternoon shade.

Any ideas as to what vine would work for me here? How about Pea vine (lab lab)?

I thank everyone in advance for any ideas!

Gus

You've got enough sun for just about anything you want to plant, everything you've mentioned and if you want a quick screen try morning glories. I have a north facing balcony and I've grown a lot of vines. I have four clematis and grow morning glories every summer. The clematis takes a little longer to get big (2-3 years), while the annual vines get big fast. You'd have to plant more than one clematis for it to serve as a screen, maybe 3+, and several morning glory seeds too depending on how wide you want your screen.

Thank you so much for your advice! I was even considering Thunbergia Sunlady as well...I really want to cover the lattice! I was going to put one 16 inch pot in each corner of my balcony and have a vine in each pot...

You're welcome! I love the Sunlady. Keep us posted.

My balcony is 4' x 26'. Here's a couple of pics from last summer.

Fortunately I have a divider from my neighbors.

Great pics! That's cool that you have a long patio...I will do what I can with my little space--and I look forward to it! It's gonna be a work-in-progress: I moved here last July so I really didn't do much in the way of plants. This year is a different story! I'm a Grounds manager for a college and I can grow alot of stuff in our greenhouse which is great! I'll take some pics at some point...
