I have fallen in love!! please help!!

Looks like I am in love! ---> it is roses! roses! roses! everywhere:) No, guys, don't get me wrong, I am not wasting this precious forum, because, my love is not that usual ROSE-WITH-LOVE thing, but instead it is a LOVE-WITH-ROSE thing itself! Yes! I am deeply & terrificly enthusiastic to grow a miniature rose now. I also just realized that if I can't grow a rose with love now, I can't ask its help in expressing my love later! Oh, I am a student alright, and a beginner at that, but a body must be blamed only if she does not even try! So YES, I will begin now, and guys, please help me succeed.

I have a small balcony (limited space) with good amount of sun. But to my ill luck, it is Chicago (zone 5) weather, a curse, but surely you agree, where there is a will, there will be a way. So I will definitely grow, but better stick to miniature roses for now, in a 10 inch container. Also for me, fragrance takes up the top priority, after all who accepts a love for an un-rose-ly rose!

So I came up with sweet chariot and overnight scentsation minis. So guys, now comes your help----> can anybody please tell me (in fact "Assure me" would be more like it) that these are absolutely minis only, and do not grow too big??, but definitely a good start for a fragrant rose?? Can anybody give me the general height and width these minis might grow to? I would greatly appreciate your help in succeeding in my LOVE!! Thanks.

You may want to ask on the Miniature Rose Forum and consider that in a pot, it would be more likely to stay smaller than if planted in the ground.

In any case, roses are great container plants and fragrant ones are icing on the cake!
