The herb is back in the house!

Well, I'm back too. Darn, this gardening is addictive. During winter I can't even think about gardens, then the first site of 65 degree weather and I'm out there digging with my tools all over the place.
My back space that I spent two months cutting weeds and digging out rocks is has been transformed into a garden. I got a Japanese laceleaf maple, three White Moon azaleas, and some iris that my neighbor gave me some divisions. The iris are flopping all over, I can't get the little buggers to stand up straight.
The p-patch garden is looking great. My purple azaleas really put on a show, the Oregon grape is getting big, (no flowers or "grapes" yet). The sweet woodruff is a mass of white flowers, gotta keep that guy well trimmed back.
My front section I tossed in a mix-match of perenniels that I can just let go. Butterfly bush, lithadora, Shasta daisies, mums, purple coneflower, and pincushion flower.
The balcony garden for 2004 will be mostly shut down. I can't keep a compost operation going, I can't produce enough by myself. It took a year to get even half finished compost that I just threw out front. Plus I want my living space back (so do the cats). I'll maybe plant some flowers in the window boxes, and I have some hostas I rescued that are in "rehab".
So, that's the state of my gardening for spring 2004. See you all around and happy gardening. |

| Hi jenny! I hear our temps are going to climb a little this week. I'm ready! Ric, last year you offered to post some pics for me but I procrastinated and didn't get them sent. Does the offer still stand? :) |
