| I've gotten very lazy about posting pictures because it's too much of a pain to move them to my website and type in the links here, etc, etc frequently. I've used blogger before but didn't realize they have a really easy tool for uploading pictures. You can instant message the pictures to the bloggerbot using a tool called Hello. Anyhow, it's so easy, hopefully I'll actually update. Here's what I have there now...not great pictures because they were just my test shots, but it's a cool tool so if you're looking to post pictures, check it out:

| Everything is looking great JamieSue! And LOL at your "cheat" tomatoes. Since I first started growing mine from seed for the first time last year (and even before that when I always bought seedling tomato plants), I always cracked on my sisters buying full grown plants that were already flowering. :-P Here's 2 of my babies that I'm growing in containers that I planted last week (a "Marianna's Peace" and a "Cherokee Purple"):
I planted 12 more at one sister's house and my other sister took 3 to plant at her house. Since you reminded me about strawberries, I noticed mine are forming some berries now. And my blueberries are also swelling. I have to thank my resident territorial carpenter bees for the pollination. I have to go through some of my pictures and get some updates posted. My lilacs are pretty much done blooming. My weigelas are at peak and on the downhill, my new honeysuckle is opening a bloom right now, my asiatic lilies look like they are forming flower buds now, one of my oleanders is also forming flower buds, my new beautyberry that can be seen in the above 'mater picture as the leaves on the far right, is growing nicely and also has alot of flower buds, and my peonies are about to pop (soon I hope, it seems like they take forever as the buds swell more and more). |

| nice. I'm amazed how far along your tomato plants are. looks like you're on a really high floor. I hope the other tenants appreciate your industriousness. |

I've 1 tomato plant flowering now. The others are still seedlings. I think beans are amazing, growing so fast; It's the second year I try some pole beans, and I can't remember they're growing so quickly ! And for okras, I'm a big fan too, but as I've some red hibiscus AND okras, and the tags just plain vanished, I can't tell where is okra and where is hibiscus LOL Quite a messy gardener ! |

| Agnes - I like your tomato support! Is that regular string? You reminded me that I have to put my passafloras outside. Both of them are still inside (I have to find room for them outside...LOL) and one of them is blooming today. |

Jenny, it's the kind of string used for attaching bard around meat. It was the string that was handy LOL. It was an attempt to keep the new kitten Bamboo away from the container. Up to now, it works !!?!! Do you notice also the small pot in the dirt ?The idea's taken from an English magazine about gardening. The water goes straight to the roots. The plant is already showing some flowers. Agnes |

| Okay - I think I know what kind of string that is. Let us know how it works!! And you have a new kitten? LOL That should be fun... hee hee And I did see that little pot, but just barely. It blends in. I know people use plastic soda bottles to do the same thing but the little pot looks ALOT better!!! :-D |

| Meant to put some update pics here... The balcony looking west as of today:
That red shrub is my "Red Prince" weigela that is at its peak bloom:
Man... I'd love to cut this little branch and bring it in (my mother does that with her weigela as part of pruning it):
And my "Sarah Bernhardt" peony just opened a bloom this morning for the first time!! Whoooo hooooo! I forgot to go out and get a peony hoop to support it, although I was hoping it wouldn't need it. It is flopping on my little pee gee hydrangea. LOL
