How do I keep squirrels from eating my vegetable seeds?

| I planted snowpeas, peas, spinach, lettuce, swiss chard, and radishes and placed them on my balcony last night. This morning, it seems the squirrels ate all of the seeds before I even left for work. I would appreciate any ideas people have for blocking off my vegetable planters. Thanks! |

| Buy some row cover material and tuck it around the pots. Some screening might work too, if it doesn't block a lot of light. |
