Watering on Balcony

| Hi all, I have a balcony with the utility closet is out there. I've been interested in somehow running a line from the washing machine tap to provide drip irrigation for my container plants instead of having to walk back and forth, in and out from kitchen to balcony everyday in order to water my plants. I've done a cursory look-see at a few nurseries to see if they have short footage irrigation supplies or hoses but it seems everything is sold in 50 foot or more lengths. So if anyone knows of somewhere I could get some help I'd be delighted...or if one of you ingenious types have successfully jimmy-rigged your own setup I'd be interested in hearing about that as well. Thanks. |

| If your looking for short runs of garden hose, try acehardware.com. I found a short 10 foot length there to run from the spigot downstairs to my hose reel on my balcony (which I can't leave under the stairs anymore due to kids getting past the padlock and playing with the hose). | Thanks Amino-X, I checked it out and Ace does have a 6 ft and a 10 ft and Lowe's has a patio drip irrigation kit which will work nicely. |
