advice on the sizes of balcony container for green peas

Could you recommend the sizes of container for green peas growing on the balcony, like depth, width and length?
Can I use the container for green peas with the depth of 30 cm not more? Is it enough for green peas roots?

| I grew some in a 2.5 gal container that a tree I bought came in. It worked out pretty good for the two of us here who ate them! |
