Poll:Annuals or Perennials? Which do you prefer for your Balcony?

Hi everyone,

I have been lurking in these forums for many months - so many wonderful people and knowledge here! And so many beautiful and inspiring pictures too.

I have been planning to expand my balcony plant collection to make it into a full balcony garden, which I hope to begin doing by drawing up a plan this winter as I used to do for my in-ground flower gardens. It then occurred to me that I can't decide whether to go with annuals or perennials...

So I thought I'd take a poll of what you all prefer in your own balcony gardens:
Annuals or Perennials?
If you prefer a mix, what percentage of which do you tend to use? And do you keep them in separate containers or mix them together within same containers?
What are some of your reasons for your choice?

Thanks to all! I look forward to hearing what everyone likes to do.

Peas be with you,
Leticia

Suggestion, in zone 8 you have options for so many perennials. You can plant it once and you're done -- other than care or maintenance. Enjoy.
